Most of my nature, wildflower and native plant art can be viewed on Facebook and Fine Art America. I am including posts here about art methods I've used to create these pieces.
Please visit my Facebook page & send a friend request if you are interested in nature art. My Facebook link is here.
I encourage anyone reading this to start with sketching or doodling any of the native plants or local wildlife you may be familiar with. To me it seems as though beggarticks, Bidens alba, grows anywhere and blooms all the time. This wildflower is actually an important pollinator plant, and I like to sketch the aster-like flowers and leaves. Finding a wild growing Bidens alba alongside the sidewalk or road and then taking a photo with the cell phone is a good activity for beginning nature art therapy. Once home, take a piece of scrap paper and sketch out the beggartick flowers photographed.
Nature art therapy can be healing to our entire body and lower stress levels.
Prints of my work can be purchased from my Fine Arts America page here.
Here are some of my mixed media works and most are available through the Fine Arts America link above.
